Our Purpose

The purpose of the Association is:

The cultivation and promotion in Germany of the importance and image of ocean-going Greek shipping.

To highlight the importance of seagoing Greek shipping, including Greek seafarers, for world trade and, by extension, for the global economy.

The professional, social, interpersonal, cultural and spiritual development and promotion of its Members.

The development and strengthening of relations between the Greek and German shipping industries.

How do we Achieve our Purpose

The purpose of the Association is achieved through the following ways:

  • Development, cultivation and promotion of friendly interpersonal and professional relationships and ties between Members.

  • Exchange of views and information between Members on with the Developments the outlook, the trends and problems of the global and her Greek ocean-going shipping (Indicative: configuration fares, charter agreements, brokerages, shipbuilding, buying and selling and Repairs Ships international and National legal framework, international environment, maritime risks, Water pollution, environmental protection etc.).

  • Establishment and development of relations and cooperation with the Hamburg Maritime Museum, with the aim of promoting seagoing Greek shipping on a permanent basis and in the context of temporary exhibitions.

  • Creation and development Relations and collaboration with Nautical Museums Greece, Germany and Other Countries, with a view to further forwarding in Germany International significance and Image of the ocean-going Greek Shipping.

  • Establishment and development of relations and cooperation with Greek and foreign shipping companies.

  • Provision of non-financial assistance (reception, information, guidance, experience, etc.) to Greek citizens arriving in Hamburg to work in the shipping industry.
